Experience
As an Indigenous Leadership Coach with over 12 years of experience, Carla specialises in
helping organisations develop Indigenous talent pipelines, support career progression, and
embed sustainable diversity and inclusion strategies. She has worked across corporate,
government, and not-for-profit sectors, providing coaching and mentoring to leaders
navigating complex workforce challenges.
Carla partners with businesses and government agencies to strengthen their Indigenous
workforce, reduce turnover, improve performance, and align with reconciliation and
inclusion goals. Her work goes beyond leadership development - she empowers individuals
and teams with practical, results-driven strategies to navigate workplace challenges, build
confidence, and create lasting impact.
Her coaching methods - including 'coaching for results' and 'performance coaching' - focus
on tangible outcomes, encouraging growth, innovation, and effective collaboration. She has
successfully supported organisations in implementing leadership programs, enhancing
employee retention, and promoting inclusive leadership practices.
With an Executive MBA and a Master’s in Meta Dynamics™ Coaching, Carla combines
academic expertise with real-world experience as a facilitator and mentor. As an Associate
Member of the International Coaching Guild and an Accredited Practitioner of Extended
DISC®, she leverages behavioural insights to enhance team dynamics, leadership
performance, and workplace collaboration.
Proud of her Aboriginal heritage, tracing back to the Wotjobaluk people of the Ebenezer
Mission in Western Victoria, Carla is committed to helping organisations achieve
measurable diversity and inclusion targets, strengthen Indigenous leadership pathways, and
deliver sustainable workforce solutions.
Her experience includes work with PwC Indigenous Consulting, Yamagigu Consulting,
Kinaway Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce, The Dhumba Murmuk Djerring Unit within Court
Services Victoria, and the Aurora Education Foundation. In these roles, she has helped blend
practical leadership strategies with cultural awareness to support career growth and
organisational success.
